Such a long name for a simple procedure. That's what medicine is like with all the long names and even latin words that are so hard to pronounce. I guess its just our way of keeping the lay people from deciphering our medical texts and keeping ourselves the smart-arses that we are.
I visited my friendly GP yesterday and she offered to have the procedure done and I did it. The local anasthesia was bitter and painful. But as long as it makes the scope go in easy, I'm happy. The local made my throat go numb or as the doc said,'Tabal'. Mum offered another word later 'panat' when I said my nose was 'karau', Haha. It was just a viewing of my nasal cavity and the turbinates and the larynx. Anyone confused yet? So apparently the 'lorong' in my right is narrow whereas on the left the upper turbinates are swollen. The therapy wasn't changed because of the procedure and the doctor said that there was no pus which was good. The inner wall was just red and swollen.
On other matters, I was just watching astro today woohoo. I miss astro when I'm in Brisbane. There is foxtel in the land of Oz but its just a luxury that I can't afford and i'd probably not move my butt away from the television screen because there's just so much good stuff to see. I surely would not want to miss out on anything.
