Tweets today

i wanted to attend take..arrived at hosp at 8.30ish, looked for my resident/registrar, found resident, told to page registrar, registrar on

post-take rounds with consultant, told me i wouldn't learn anything if i joined them, told her i'll go to ED then, introduced myself to vari

ous doctors incl the consultant there, did a long case as per consultant's orders, also did 2 shorts, felts like a loo break, excused myself

from ED, went to gastro ward to look for long case preferably chronic liver disease, found one, didn't know what she had, wasn't CLD, home

Prof Marwick wants an acute on chronic case and so i thought chronic liver disease would be a great one. The one i did she has haematemesis due to oesophageal varices and portal vein thrombosis. I'll have to look it up if i have to present that case. Consultant at ED was super-busy. The shorts i did there were some things i forgot to do ie hepatic flap & auscultation. Crappy short. But the cranial nerve short was okay. I knew she wouldn't have signs anyway.
